International Development (USAID)
is providing technical assistance
and funding to develop the tourism
potential of three Northern
Mozambican Provinces. The goal is
to develop and position the three
provinces as major international

Within each Province, Potential
Tourism Investment Areas are
identified. John Robinson Planning
and Design was commissioned by
USAID to prepare and present an
overall framework for future
development and identify key
projects for implementation.

Project Description
Concepts were drawn up for major
resorts, waterfront developments
and historic area improvements. An
implementation programme including
the establishment of a new
public/private sector development
agency was put forward together
with detailed development
