Winning competition for a major 500
hectare seafront reclamation mixed
use development at the head of
Dubai Creek, UAE.

John Robinson was commissioned
to prepare design concepts and
proposals for a unique
development opportunity for
submission to the Dubai
Municipality. The Deira Sea
Corniche is one of the world's most
prestigious development sites. In
addition to providing a premier
setting for the development of
recreational facilities and beaches,
the site also provides a great
opportunity to enhance Dubai's
position as an international
business and tourism centre, at the
same time as providing jobs,
housing and leisure facilities for the
people of Dubai.

Project Description
The plan is conceptually simple. A
great crescent shaped
development forms the Bay from
which further development
radiates.

Land uses are defined and drawn
together by three strategic
networks, transportation, water
and open space. A series of plans,
perspective drawings and a model
together made up the competition
submission. Detailed plans have
since been drawn up for
implementation.
