Project/Location After winning an International Ideas and Design Competition for the commission, Llewelyn Davies Planning engaged John Robinson as urban designer to assist in the preparation of the Regeneration Strategy for Cardiff Bay, South Wales. Project Description The Regeneration Strategy is designed to assist in the following tasks, and provide: A vision of the future with market images and guidelines to stimulate large scale investment and high quality schemes. A framework for organising development and assisting in the definition of the tasks of the Development Corporation. |
Cardiff Bay Regeneration Strategy |
A basis for partnership between the public and private sectors, communities, local authorities, and many other agencies, with the Development Corporation playing a leading and catalytic role in the process. Over a 15 year period, the objective will be to produce around 6,000 new houses, the creation of over 20,000 jobs and wide range of new activities and life styles in a superb setting.
